Charles Anderson Lawn Care Presents Italian Delight Family Restaurant
HAMPTON, Va – Mother nature played spoiler to yet another event on our tour this year. Cant really say I am to surprised as this has even become the norm around the NASCAR circuit this year. Only thing we are missing at our local short tracks are the Air Titan systems! We got word that South Boston had pulled the plug on the evening when we were just about an hour away.
This was a huge bummer for us because the simple fact that we had never attended a race at SoBo. A large weather cell moved into the area Friday night and did not seem to want to leave. The forecast we were monitoring actually showed the rain to clear out of the area later in the evening but track officials must have seen something and did not want to risk waisting the money of race teams and inconvenience fans making the trip.
Next event at South Boston will be the highly anticipated Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown April 24th, 2014. Advance tickets are currently on sale at the box office [Adults; $20, Children 17-12; $10, 11 and under free w/ paying adult]. For more details you can reach the tack at 434-572-4947 or 1-877-440-1540. Race day tickets $25 for adults and $15 for youth.
The Weekly Racer will look to return to South Boston Speedway June 7th as the PASS Super Late Model series come into town. Hopefully the summer will provide much more favorable racing conditions.
