Weather Forces Virginia Motor Speedway to Cancel Racing Activities for Saturday, August 3rd
Jamaica, VA – With already soaked grounds and more rain on the way officials of Virginia Motor Speedway have made the tough decision to cancel racing activities for Pepsi Night Saturday, August 3.
“We have a lot of competitors and fans who travel an enormous amount of highway miles to attend our events,” said track owner Bill Sawyer. “We don’t want anyone to have the burden of making a long trip for nothing. We hate to have to cancel tomorrow’s racing, but as we make this decision the grounds look like ‘Lake Jamaica’ and with more rain on the way, we felt it best just to make the call.”
