Rain Halts Racing Friday at Dixieland Speedway
Elizabeth City, NC – Showers and thunderstorms shuttered all on-track activities at Elizabeth City’s three-eighths mile motor speedway on Friday, forcing officials to cancel what was scheduled to be the 10thrace of the season featuring the Virginia Sprint Series. The event was called off shortly before lunch and became the fourth rained out race of 2019.
Action resumes Friday on Budweiser night featuring five divisions of competition and a special 25-lap Biggs Cadillac Buick GMC Stock Fours event, paying $500 to win.
