Brenden Queen Grabs Second Career Pole of Late Model Career at East Carolina Motor Speedway

Robersonville, NC – Brenden “Butterbean” Queen, from Chesapeake Virginia, was fast all day in practice in the #03 Atlantic Plumbing machine, with the sun beaming on over the speedway. In one of the hottest days of the season Queen was able to carry that over into qualifying. Earning the honors of fast qualifier and the number one starting position in race number one tonight with a time of 15.482.

Thomas Burbage, your current points leader, was able to clock in second fastest followed by Rusty Daniels, Kenneth Mercer, and Tyler Matthews to round out the starting five. “The car felt good,” Queen said after qualifying. “I thought I may have messed up the lap that got the pole but it worked out.” The Late Model Stock division should have 18 cars roll off the starting grid this evening as they run fourth and sixth in tonight’s seven race feature.

“The plan is to try and conserve a little but go for the win,” Queen said about the twin features this evening. “Then we will go for it in the second race and try and come home with two wins.” We will have both 35-lap LMSC features LIVE on our Twitter feed – @theweeklyracer
