A 100-lap Super Truck race followed by a 100-lap South East Limited Late Model feature. Grandstands open at 11:00 AM EST. Tickets start at just $20, kids 12 and under are free. Racing begins at 4:15 EST today. Today is the first of two action packed weekends at Myrtle beach as next week they play host to the UNOH Battle at the Beach – which The Weekly Racer will have you right on top of the action!
You also have the U.S. Legend Cars International and INEX Nationals at Anderson Motor Speedway. Good luck to all the teams that were able to make the trip. Qual & Heat races were last night. The mains will run today. A special shout out to TWR’ local driver Tommy Jackson Jr. who won and finished fourth in his two heat races. He will roll of the grid third today in the #SemiPro main. Make sure to follow @USLegendCars for updates through out the day.
We will be heading down to Elizabeth City later this afternoon to check out some dirt kart action at Albemarle Speedway. We have been to this facility a few time this year to check out some awesome short track racing. Some of you may remember the story we posted last year of our experience at their annual fun day event, which by the way is coming up again this year, hopefully we can find a ride! Tonight will be their final points race of the season. Practice will get underway at 4:00 PM EST and racing usually gets underway around 8:00 PM EST. If you have never caught a kart racce on dirt and have nothing to do later this evening, break out the coats, gloves and hat’s. Load the car up and take the short drive to Elizabeth City and watch some great racing from all age’s!
